Description
This position occurs from Early-October to Mid-November. Instructors are responsible for teaching the basic skills and knowledge of Basketball. Participants learn basic fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting through fun interactive games and drills.
Program meets Mon-Thurs in the evening hours (5:15-7:15) and 2 Saturdays (8:30a-3:30pm) the last 2 weeks of program (Nov. 14 and Nov. 21).
-Follow lesson plans as provided by Directors
-Instructing small groups of children (5-8 players) ages (5-9)
-Demonstrate basic skills and help showcase skills to participants
-Enforcing program rules
-Care of supplies and equipment as provided by NPRD-Must have knowledge of the sport of basketball
-Must be able to demonstrate proper techniques to participants
-Must enjoy working with young children
-Energetic, outgoing and positive attitude at all times
-Must be outgoing and able to lead

Required age is 18 and older. Exceptions can be made for applicants with prior coaching and/or playing experience.
