Role Summary
Anthropologie is looking for a temporary merchandise planner who will support the Home Planning team with financial reporting and recaps. Develop a clear understanding of Retail Math and support select product categories, ultimately leading to the development of sound merchandise plans that support company goals for sales, turn and margin.
Role Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Reporting- Compile regular sales, inventory, and performance recaps to deliver actionable data for planning and cross-functional merchandising teams.
- Track and report performance data on upcoming marketed products to inform assortment strategies and future demand.
- Build and maintain bottom-up, item-level Long-Life Open-To-Buy (OTB) tracking by classification within assigned business areas.
- Partner with Merchandise Planners to align inventory receipt flows, sales penetration, and profitability targets with overall long-life strategy.
- Prepare comprehensive financial recaps and presentation materials to support planning leadership during seasonal Investment Reviews.
- Consolidate and audit monthly style and SKU-level markdown recommendations to protect margin and optimize inventory productivity.
Role Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience in retail planning, allocation, or buying.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sharp organizational, prioritization, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional relationship skills.
