The Role

We are seeking a driven and people-focused Sales Manager to lead our Infusion Therapies & Platforms team across NSW and Victoria. Based in either Sydney (Old Toongabbie) or Melbourne (Brunswick), this role is responsible for leading a high-performing sales team, driving sustainable growth, and expanding our presence across existing and new customer segments.

Working closely with the field team the Sales Manager will provide coaching, strategic direction, and ongoing development to strengthen capability and maximise performance. Partnering across Sales, Marketing, and other key functions, this role will help deliver strong customer outcomes, commercial success, and a culture of continuous improvement.

About You

You are a high-performing sales professional with experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry and a passion for driving results through people and relationships. You may already be leading a team, or you may be an aspiring leader who has demonstrated strong leadership potential through coaching, mentoring, influencing, and delivering exceptional outcomes.

With strong commercial acumen and a customer-first mindset, you build credibility with customers, clinicians, key opinion leaders, and internal stakeholders. You leverage data, insights, and market knowledge to identify growth opportunities and improve performance.

You are collaborative, adaptable, and motivated by continuous improvement, with a genuine desire to lead, develop others, and make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, spending approximately 50% of time in the field supporting performance, growth and pipeline management.

  • Drive achievement of revenue, profitability, and strategic business objectives.

  • Contribute customer and market insights to commercial and marketing strategy development.

  • Drive completion and accountability of sales activity targets (Wildly Important Goals - WIGs). This includes Salesforce CRM compliance for your team

  • Communicate sales objectives, policies, programs, budgets, forecasts, and performance expectations.

  • Conduct ACE check-ins, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance support.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key clinicians.

  • Oversee territory planning, sales execution, product mix, and customer service standards.

  • Partner with Marketing and cross-functional teams on contracts, tenders, and commercial initiatives.

  • Ensure quotes and proposals align with Baxter's commercial strategy and approval processes.

  • Maintain accountability for the business unit P&L.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Health Sciences, or a related discipline is highly desired

  • Experience leading sales teams within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry is highly desired

  • Demonstrated success in delivering sales growth and developing high-performing teams

  • Strong commercial acumen and customer focus, with excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Ability to analyse market trends and identify opportunities using Power BI or similar tools

  • Experience managing P&L performance and delivering revenue and profit targets

  • Strong planning, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships across customers and internal stakeholders

  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with, and willingness to leverage, AI tools is highly desirable

  • Ability to travel interstate as required.
