Mission Systems Product Support Lead (life cycle support lead)

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking incumbent and external qualified candidates to support North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyene Mountain Complex (NCMC) – Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract III (NISSC III).  This position is contingent upon contract award

 The Life Cycle Support Lead oversees Integrated Product Support (IPS) and lifecycle sustainment for mission-critical NORAD and USSPACECOM systems. This role develops and executes strategies that maximize readiness, system availability, and long-term supportability by integrating engineering, logistics, maintenance, supply support, documentation, and modernization planning across the Cheyenne Mountain Complex enterprise. 

 

Responsibilities 

• Lead lifecycle support planning for mission-critical systems across operations, maintenance, sustainment, and modernization activities. 
• Develop and maintain IPS strategies to ensure long-term system readiness and availability. 
• Coordinate lifecycle activities with engineering, logistics, software, cybersecurity, integration, and operations teams. 
• Lead provisioning, sparing, obsolescence management, asset management, and replacement planning. 
• Support engineering changes, technology refresh, and modernization initiatives aligned with TxRM objectives. 
• Develop sustainment metrics, performance measures, and executive reports. 
• Coordinate technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and engineering documentation. 
• Identify lifecycle risks (aging systems, supply chain constraints, obsolescence) and recommend mitigation. 
• Support maintenance planning, depot coordination, repair strategies, and equipment readiness. 
• Align lifecycle requirements with logistics, property, warehouse, and support agreement personnel. 
• Partner with subcontractors, OEMs, and Government stakeholders to improve supportability. 
• Support transition planning, knowledge transfer, and sustainment readiness during contract stand-up. 
• Support lifecycle audits and reporting across logistics, maintenance, and property functions. 
• Ensure all sustainment activities comply with contractual, quality, cybersecurity, and classified requirements. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance required; ability to upgrade to obtain SCI access required. 
• Bachelors and minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Masters and 6+, PhD with 3. However, additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.  
• Experience leading lifecycle support, IPS, logistics, sustainment engineering, or maintenance in complex DoD programs. 
• Experience supporting mission-critical operations and sustainment environments. 
• Background in lifecycle planning, provisioning, asset management, technical documentation, or supply support. 
• Experience supporting engineering changes, modernization, and tech refresh. 
• Strong collaboration across engineering, logistics, software, cybersecurity, and operations. 
• Understanding of systems engineering lifecycle and sustainment principles. 
• Experience developing metrics, reports, and customer briefings. 

Desired Qualifications 

• Prior experience supporting NISSC I/II, ITW/AA, NORAD, USNORTHCOM, USSPACECOM, or Cheyenne Mountain Complex programs. 
• Experience supporting strategic warning, C2, missile warning, ISR, or space mission systems. 
• Experience implementing IPS or DoD Product Support Management principles. 
• Familiar with Agile, DevSecOps, Digital Engineering, MBSE. 
• Experience with logistics information or asset management systems. 
• Background in RMF, NIST, or DoD cybersecurity frameworks. 
• PMP, DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics, ITIL, or similar certification. 
• Experience working in TS/SCI 24×7 operational sustainment environments.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
