Job Description
Global Marketing strengthens Aberdeen’s corporate reputation, client reach and engagement with a clear commercial focus across Institutional, Wholesale and Retail channels in more than 80 markets. The DACH Distribution and Marketing team focuses on Institutional and Wholesale audiences, with Germany and Switzerland as priority markets. Working closely with Distribution and global centres of excellence, the team turns market insight into integrated campaigns, events, digital experiences and relevant investment content. This collaborative approach helps enable our clients to be better investors.
About the Role
As Senior Marketing Executive, you will support the Head of Marketing, DACH in shaping and delivering commercially focused marketing for Germany and Switzerland. This senior-level, two-year fixed-term role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across campaigns, events, digital marketing, email, social media and website content. You will build strong partnerships with Distribution, translate global campaigns for local audiences and use performance data to improve reach, engagement and business value.
Based in Frankfurt, the role offers broad exposure across the DACH region and the opportunity to deepen your experience in investment marketing within a regulated environment. You will invest in your tomorrow by owning meaningful projects from concept to delivery while learning from regional and global specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Marketing, DACH in developing regional strategy, channel plans and an effective operating model, building strong relationships with Distribution leaders and teams.
- Lead bottom-up planning for Switzerland, manage the local marketing budget and committed spend, monitor monthly performance and reprioritise activity to deliver agreed objectives.
- Adapt global brand and thematic campaigns for DACH, creating integrated contact strategies and investment content that maximise client reach, engagement and Distribution follow-up.
- Design and deliver multi-channel campaigns across PR, advertising, events, digital, email, paid search, social media, native content and display, in partnership with internal centres of excellence.
- Contribute to the regional events strategy and oversee delivery of proprietary and third-party events, working with Distribution and the central events team on flagship activity.
- Use digital performance dashboards and market insight to optimise campaigns, support SEO and PPC activity, and own local channel website content and future updates to improve user experience.
About the Candidate:
- Fluent German and excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly and influence across functions and markets.
- A proven B2B marketing track record, including independently managing projects from concept through execution with strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
- Experience delivering integrated brand, capability and multi-media campaigns across digital, email, social media, events and other relevant channels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to building effective partnerships with Distribution and specialist marketing teams.
- Familiarity with investment or financial services products, coupled with a commercially focused, client-centred mindset.
- A proactive, flexible and self-motivated approach, with ownership for quality, governance, deadlines and outcomes across multiple projects.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of the Swiss wholesale and institutional market, including its media landscape and events ecosystem; French language capability would also be advantageous.
- Experience working in regulated financial services and an understanding of compliance considerations for investment marketing communications.
