Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

TAKKT group are expanding our presence in Budapest, Hungary, to host the new European TAKKT Competence Center (TCC). Building on recent improvements in our processes and customer experience, the TCC will support our European colleagues in streamlining processes, modernizing systems, and driving innovation. This expansion means we will be hiring highly skilled experts in digital and future-focused competencies, ensuring that we remain competitive and customer-centric as we embrace new technologies, including AI. 

We are looking for a talented and driven Backend Software Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the development of our e-commerce platform that powers both our B2B and B2C operations, a core system that is integral to our company’s success and growth.

You will work with cutting-edge technologies to design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services within a microservices architecture. Your Responsibilities

• Backend Service Development
  Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Java and modern frameworks like Spring Boot and Micronaut.

• Microservices Architecture
  Implement and optimize microservices, leveraging your expertise in distributed systems and ensuring smooth communication using tools like Kafka.

• Deployment and Infrastructure
  Deploy and manage containerized services using Docker and AWS ECS, ensuring seamless and efficient deployment processes.

• CI/CD Expertise
  Work with a modern CI/CD stack to streamline the development and deployment pipeline.

• Ownership and Problem Solving
  Take ownership of technical challenges, propose solutions, and implement them in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

• Code Quality and Best Practices
  Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following industry standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code across the team.

• Troubleshooting and Optimization
  Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend services to ensure reliability and performance in production environments.

• Collaborative Teamwork
  Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features and improvements in an agile environment.

Your Profile

Professional Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc. or comparable in Computer Science or relevant professional experience.
• Experience: 3 years of proven experience in backend development using Java and microservices frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Micronaut). SAP Hybris knowledge is nice to have.
• Databases: Proficiency with relational (Postgres, MySQL) and non-relational (Redis) databases.
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms, especially AWS ECS.
• Messaging Systems: Familiarity with Kafka or similar messaging systems for distributed communication.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working with agile development practices like Scrum or Kanban. Experience with SAFe is a plus.
• Software Best Practices: Strong understanding of writing clean, maintainable code and unit testing.
