Summary/Objective
In 1940, the Berkshire Music Center (now the Tanglewood Music Center) began its operations. Home to the famous Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the site of one of the world’s best-known music festivals, Tanglewood hosts the Festival of Contemporary Music, along with many other events including concerts of various genres from jazz to pop. Today, Tanglewood annually draws over 350,000 visitors. Each season offers not only a vast quantity of music, but also a vast range of musical forms and styles, all of it presented with a regard for artistic excellence that makes the festival unique.The Boston Symphony Orchestra is seeking driven individuals to join the Event Services team at Tanglewood (Lenox, MA) as seasonal Event Set Up Assistants.
Job Description
Set up/breakdown of all events on Tanglewood Grounds.
Event set ups include dining service, galas, weddings, backstage catering, private parties, internal events, yoga on the lawn and other various activities.
Required Education and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will have...
Must be 18 years or older.
Detail oriented person with ability to lift heavy objects of 50-100 lbs.
Able to work a flexible schedule.
Weekends and some overtime required.
Driver license needed.
