Job Description

As a Security Officer - Badge Administration in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location where you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location. Save
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, access points, and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
• Support badge and key control processes, assist with directing foot traffic, and provide clear instructions to guests and/or staff regarding site access requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
