Head Start Assistant Teacher

Schedule: Day shift | Full Time | Monday - Friday 

Salary range: $22.43 - $31.26 per hour 

What You Will Do

• Ensure instructional activities are developmentally appropriate and reflect their individual interests.
• Complete required lesson plans and maintain accurate and timely documentation of all required activities and interactions.
• Ensure that assigned equipment and materials are adequately maintained in safe working order and recommend new equipment as appropriate.
• Maintain positive communications with child's parents/guardians and incorporate their recommendations into child's daily routine.

What You Will Need

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

Minimum of Child Development Associate (CDA) certification (infant/toddler or birth to five) and at least one year of experience working in a child care center, preschool, school district pre-k, or other educational setting with children age 5 or younger.Candidate must be willing to complete the Gateways Level 2 Infant/Toddler credential after hire. Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday (no weekends or holidays)
