Overview
The S.T.A.R.S. Instructor supports daily operations of the before/after school program under the direction of the Site Lead. Responsibilities include planning and conducting program activities in arts and crafts, games, sports, homework assistance, and special events; maintaining a safe and organized environment; supervising children; assisting with record keeping; and maintaining facility cleanliness. The position requires at least 16 years of age, experience working with children aged 5-14, and good interpersonal skills. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30am-8:30am and 2:45pm-6:15pm with potential additional hours, August 10, 2026-June 4, 2027. District 103 staff work 12:00pm-5:00pm on early dismissal days. Pay starts at $15.00/hour plus qualifications. Candidates should be outgoing, able to work as part of a team, and comfortable following directions.
