  • Define and evolve the content strategy framework, and establish ways of working between commerce and editorial that create an integrated content culture

  • Own brand-level revenue and margin targets, adjusting strategies to drive performance

Team & Culture

  • Build a high-performing team of internal resources and external partners

  • Foster knowledge sharing and proactively surface challenges to leadership, using data to validate

  • Champion a progressive mindset, embedding experimentation and calculated risk-taking into how the brand operates

Marketing & Audience Growth

  • Set the commerce marketing vision across newsletter, social, CRM, and promotional channels

  • Own audience acquisition and retention strategy in partnership with the central audience team, ensuring marketing drives measurable commerce revenue

  • Guide resource allocation across channels based on opportunity size and performance data

  • Manage and grow off-platform presence through creative partnerships and new distribution models

New Revenue & Business Model Innovation

  • Lead business model innovation for AD, evaluating new commercial structures (direct, marketplace, hybrid, subscription, services) to unlock long-term growth

  • Maintain an informed point of view on how AI, conversational commerce, agentic shopping, and other emerging technologies are reshaping the e-commerce landscape, and translate that into actionable opportunities

  • Continuously identify and raise new revenue, distribution, and format opportunities for evaluation by senior leadership

  • Champion and operationalize enterprise-wide initiatives, including creator programs, off-platform partnerships, and new deal structures, ensuring they are executed in a brand-first way that maintains editorial integrity

  • Manage creator program strategy at the brand level and act as the primary strategic partner to partnerships and audience teams on net-new revenue

Partnerships

  • Conceptualize and pitch new partnership opportunities, working with the partnerships team to develop and close

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with retail and brand partners to drive new revenue

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Will work closely with the SVP Commerce and VP Luxury Commerce, AD Editorial leadership, Partnerships & Sales, and central teams across Audience, CRM, Social, SEO, Analytics, Product, Engineering, and Finance, alongside third-party content production, retail, brand, and creator partners.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8-10 years in e-commerce, DTC, or commerce media, with deep understanding of the design and interiors category

  • 3-5 years leading and developing high-performing teams

  • Track record of building or scaling a recognized direct shopping destination, with proven success driving an e-commerce P&L

  • Demonstrated ability to set strategic vision and translate it into operational plans that deliver revenue and margin growth

  • Fluency in emerging commerce trends, including AI-powered and agentic shopping, with the ability to translate trends into business strategy

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience structuring partner relationships and evaluating new deal structures

  • Experience leading marketing strategy across owned channels and emerging distribution models

  • Comfort operating in a test-and-learn environment, with a bias toward experimentation

  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders using data
