Job Description Summary

-Leads the strategic and operational planning and management of the assigned clinical program(s) from an end-to-end clinical operations perspective. Complete oversight of budget and resource allocation for the assigned programs. Drives operational excellence through process improvement and knowledge sharing across the function. Enables an empowered organization which can navigate in a matrix environment and adjust quickly to business needs.

Job Description

Major accountabilities: 

  • Complete oversight of budget and resource allocation within the assigned area.
  •  Manages resources cross units and/or global projects which may involve managing large teams across multiple sites worldwide -Provide oversight on quality and compliance for assigned clinical program(s) -People management role with responsibility for a broad functional /technical area or a large sub-function.
  • Builds best talent and an empowered culture within program(s) and DU to foster high performance in a matrix environment.
  •  Assess needs of the organization to improve the medical/scientific, operational and budget management capabilities in assigned franchise, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
  • May serve on or lead global initiatives (e.g., process improvement, training, SOP development, other clinical development line function initiatives) -Reporting of technical complaints / adverse events / special case scenarios related to Sandoz products within 24 hours of receipt -Distribution of marketing samples (where applicable)

 Key performance indicators:

  • Timely, efficient and quality execution of trials and trial related activities within assigned clinical program(s) within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.
  • Appropriate funding and resourcing for assigned clinical program(s).
  • Adherence to Sandoz policy and guidelines and external regulations
