Job Summary
We’re seeking a motivated Shipping and Receiving Coordinator. You will support our fast-paced Shipping and Receiving Department in meeting daily customer demands by working independently to ship customer orders on time and provide outstanding service.

This is a hands-on position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.
Key Responsibilities
- Package and process daily shipments within time constraints.
- Run required reports and send out shipment notifications daily.
- Maintain Shipping log daily.
- Receive inbound material into a system of record and quality data base.
- Issue material as needed and send receipt notifications as required.
- Maintain Receiving log daily.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against Bills of Lading, Invoices, Purchase Orders, or other records. Attention to detail is critical.
- Generate contractually required shipping and receiving documentation for all shipments (Packing Lists, Receiving Reports, Commercial Invoices, custom forms) using customer portals.
- Maintain awareness of small pack carrier changes, applicable regulations, customer shipping requirements, freight forwarders and carriers utilized.
- Review and follow up on shipping agreements, discounts, claims and carrier issues. Generate LTL freight quotes for customers and vendors as needed.
- Organize finished goods and perform physical counts as needed. Manage and account for packaging materials, replenish as needed to support shipments.
- Assist with various material management and projects as time permits.
- Generate Export and Import International shipping documents. Reconcile freight Invoices.
- Work with Supply Chain Team to identify specific contract requirements related to shipping administration. Communicate with Supply Chain Team and support Production, Engineering and Business Development.
- Follow policies and procedures in the Broadata Quality Assurance Manual and follow applicable shipping and receiving procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma. Some college/vocational coursework preferred.
- 2–4 years’ experience performing shipping and receiving or related tasks.
- Shipping experience preferred with UPS, USPS, Fed Ex, DHL, LTL.
- Solid packaging knowledge is needed to make decisions on box size and protective packaging with lowest cost and best performance.
- Ability to work within deadlines, under pressure and handle interruptions
- Strong communication, mathematical, and problem-solving skills in addition to the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities while adapting to changing business needs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment, working extended hours (as needed).
- Strong self-motivation and attitude for personal career growth, willingness to self-learn, and work in new technology domains
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
The employee in the position will be required to occasionally move throughout the facilities, including climbing stairs, when necessary. Occasional bending and reaching in an office environment, including opening and closing file cabinets drawers with light grasping. Type on a standard keyboard (laptop or desktop). Use standard computer display screens. Use standard push-button phones and must speak clearly and be understood by others. Sit or stand in a standard upright position for a minimum of one hour, but up to 12 hours a day. Be able to lift and carry weight unassisted not exceeding 50 lbs.
