Essential Job Functions:
Essential Job Functions:
- Complete door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned route.
- Pick and assemble orders as indicated on the pick list.
- Confirm accurate item delivery with customer and obtain customer signature on Sales Order.
- Receive customer payments at time of delivery, ensuring the correct amounts received.
- Stack and organize warehouse pallets.
- Document and complete driver logs accurately documenting returns and customer notes when making deliveries.
- Assist receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and inventory.
- Coordinate with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
- Maintain and safely navigate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy while maintaining quick reaction times on the road.
- Participate in the department meetings.
- Adhere to Company attendance policies and designated work schedule to keep consistent and reliable attendance.
- Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
- Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on the weekend.
- Other duties as required by manager.
- Obligation to answer all management as requested.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to operate forklift for a majority of the daily working hours.
- Able to walk or stand for a majority of the daily working hours.
- Ability to talk, hear, climb, balance, reach, bend, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted frequently.
- Specific vision abilities are required, including close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and maintain clarity.
- Working Conditions.
- Noise Level: Normal to loud while in the warehouse
- Location: Indoor in the warehouse or at customer sites (restaurants, wholesalers, distributors, etc) with travel required.
- Cold temperatures while working in warehouse and freezer
Other Requirements:
- Basic level English - Read/write/speak/listen.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed.
- CDL class A or B license with manual transmission, or able to obtain it within four months from the hiring date.
- Be able to stay away from home, potentially for several days or weeks at a time.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate the road freight transport industry.
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Able to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 2+ years of driver, delivery, and/or warehousing experience preferred.
- Experience in food industry, preferably in Japanese food industry is plus.
- Experience in Japanese restaurant business is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors strongly preferred.
- Trusted and capable long-distance driver.
- Defensive driving skill.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures.
