Job Description: Junior Marketing Executive

Position Overview

Our client, a leading organization within Jamaica’s automotive industry, is seeking a driven, organized and results focused Junior Marketing Executive to support its marketing operations.

The successful candidate will assist with the execution of marketing activities across multiple brands, helping to generate sales leads, strengthen brand awareness and maintain a positive corporate image. This role requires a proactive individual with strong administrative and communication skills, attention to detail and a willingness to continuously learn and develop.

Reports To: Group Marketing Manager

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Support and Planning

• Support the effective day to day operation of the marketing department.
• Provide administrative and project support to senior members of the marketing team.
• Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to support sales and brand awareness initiatives.
• Assist with the development of sales promotions and marketing plans through market research, brainstorming and collaboration with sales teams.

Communications and Media

• Coordinate the sharing of information relating to upcoming marketing activities, events and media coverage.
• Coordinate daily newsletter distribution.
• Assist with briefing external marketing and media agencies.
• Liaise with media partners to coordinate advertising placements.
• Support communications between internal stakeholders, external agencies and media partners.

Marketing Materials and Brand Support

• Coordinate photography requirements and help ensure the appropriate use of brand imagery and logos.
• Assist with competitor analysis, including pricing and promotional activity.
• Monitor international and local media for relevant brand content and opportunities.
• Collaborate with creative teams in the development of marketing materials.

Digital and Social Media

• Assist with maintaining relevant and up to date online content.
• Support the creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns.
• Assist with website updates, pricing checks and photography coordination.
• Create and coordinate marketing content including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters and promotional material.
• Help manage and monitor social media accounts and engage with audiences where required.

Branding

• Work with department heads to ensure marketing collateral and branding materials remain relevant and current.
• Coordinate the ordering and replacement of branding materials when required.

Reporting and Campaign Evaluation

• Prepare and distribute monthly marketing reports and weekly marketing updates.
• Monitor and compile company and competitor media coverage.
• Assist with quantitative and qualitative evaluations of marketing campaigns.
• Support the preparation of marketing reports and presentations for suppliers and key stakeholders.

Administration and Internal Communications

• Support staff engagement and internal communication initiatives, including awards programmes and seasonal activities.
• Log invoices and coordinate supplier payments.
• Record minutes and maintain records of internal meetings.
• Monitor ongoing marketing projects to help ensure deadlines are achieved.
