Description
Supervise, assign and review the work of staff responsible for the routine servicing, maintenance and storage of City owned motor coach and staff vehicles; oversee and participate in all work activities and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours of vocational training in vehicle servicing or repair; and
Four (4) years of experience servicing vehicles in a fleet environment; and
To include one (1) year lead or supervisory experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid Driver's License.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with a Passenger (P) endorsement within six (6) months from date of hire.
Environmental:
Office and field environments; exposure to noise, dust and computer screens, grease, smoke, fumes, gases; work or inspect in confined spaces; moving objects/vehicles; work closely with others.
Physical:
Essential and supplemental functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for prolonged periods of walking, standing or sitting; heavy or moderate lifting and carrying; kneeling, repeated bending stooping; operating motorized equipment and vehicles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essentialfunctions may include, but are not limited to the functions listed below. Mustbe able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without areasonable accommodation.
- Supervise, schedule and/or perform the functions and activities involved in the routing servicing of City-owned buses and vehicles.
- Interview, select and train employees in the processes and procedures and use of equipment.
- Assign, inspect and review the work of employees engaged in servicing motor coaches and staff vehicles. Note special problems, recommend and implement actions for resolution of difficulties.
- Maintain various reports such as injury, special incident and property damage. Perform evaluations, recommend and act on any corrective or disciplinary action.
- Perform more technical tasks of work or instruct employees in the performance of those tasks.
- Maintain inventory necessary for performing assigned tasks. Order supplies, equipment and material when needed. Monitor inventory budget to ensure compliance with budget allocation.
- Insure that on-the-job safety standards are met by conduction basic safety training in the use of equipment, tools, and work procedures.
- Must drive motor coaches to assist vehicle service employees.
- Attend meetings, conferences and training courses as required.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
