Job Title: Inside Sales Specialist – Fire Equipment

FLSA Status: EXEMPT

Summary: The Inside Sales Specialist – Fire Equipment supports revenue growth through fast, accurate quoting and pricing execution. This role serves as the primary resource for Territory Managers, enabling them to focus on revenue generation and customer relationships. The position also analyzes quoting activity and sales trends to provide insight into demand, supporting inventory planning and stocking decisions aligned with market needs. This is an office-based position with no travel requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

· Quoting & Pricing

o Prepare accurate, timely quotes for fire equipment and commodity items.

o Manage a high-volume quoting workload with speed and precision.

o Apply competitive pricing strategies to support revenue and margin goals.

o Customize quotes based on customer needs, budgets, and available alternatives.

o Assist walk-in customers at the Fairhope location.

· Territory Manager Support

o Serve as the primary contact for Territory Managers on quoting, pricing, and product-related requests.

o Provide timely responses to product questions, order inquiries, and customer-specific needs.

o Own day-to-day support functions so Territory Managers can remain focused on selling activities.

· Inventory & Market Analysis

o Analyze order trends and quoting activity to identify stocking opportunities.

o Recommend inventory levels based on demand and product movement.

o Support efforts to reduce obsolete inventory and improve turnover.

· Process & Operational Support

o Support the transition of quotes into orders.

o Coordinate with internal teams on order execution and fulfillment.

o Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer responsiveness.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Position Measurables: 

· Quote turnaround time and accuracy.

· Quote-to-order conversion rate.

· Sales support responsiveness and internal customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate pricing and documentation.

· Ability to manage a high volume of requests, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

· Clear written and verbal communication skills.

· Customer-focused mindset with a practical, solutions-oriented approach.

· Ability to interpret sales activity and order trends to support inventory decisions.

· Strong collaboration skills across sales, operations, purchasing, and fulfillment teams.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the company's quoting, order, and customer management systems.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience: 

Work Environment: 

· Commonly works in an office environment with light noise.

· May have limited exposure to shop noise when entering or passing through operational areas.

Physical Demands: 

· Regularly sits, types, communicates by telephone and email, and participates in meetings.

· Occasionally stands, walks, bends, and handles product samples or office materials.
