ESL (ESLint) Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ESL (ESLint) Developer to ensure code quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance across large-scale JavaScript and TypeScript codebases. The role will focus on developing custom ESLint rules and plugins, enforcing coding standards, and supporting scalable front-end engineering, particularly within large-scale e-commerce applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain ESLint rules and configurations.
• Build custom ESLint rules and plugins based on development and coding standards.
• Define and enforce coding standards across JavaScript and TypeScript applications.
• Identify code-quality, consistency, maintainability, and performance issues.
• Build and maintain reusable ESLint configurations across multiple projects.
• Integrate ESLint and automated code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize linting processes for large codebases and monorepos.
• Troubleshoot ESLint configurations, parsers, plugins, and dependency issues.
• Support ESLint upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with front-end development teams to improve overall development and code-quality standards.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with ESLint.
• Experience developing custom ESLint rules and plugins.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Good understanding of AST and static code analysis.
• Experience with modern front-end development, preferably React.js.
• Experience with Git and npm/Yarn/pnpm.
• Experience integrating code-quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with large-scale JavaScript/TypeScript codebases.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with large-scale e-commerce applications.
• Knowledge of Next.js and Node.js.
• Experience with Nx or Turborepo.
• Knowledge of Prettier and Stylelint.
• Experience with SonarQube or similar code-quality tools.
• Experience with Husky and lint-staged.
• Knowledge of Jest or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
