As the Analyst, Global Artist Accounting at Ceremony of Roses, you will support artist accounting, royalty reporting, and financial operations across the Ceremony of Roses group of companies, which are part of Sony Music Entertainment. This role serves as a flexible shared resource across COR's affiliated businesses, providing support on a need-based basis as priorities and workloads shift across the group. You will partner with finance and operating teams across affiliates to help deliver timely and accurate artist settlements, interpret contractual economics, reconcile underlying financial activity, and support accurate financial reporting. Success in this role requires strong accounting and analytical skills, attention to detail, comfort working across multiple businesses and systems, and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment. This is an office-first role located in Culver City, CA and requires working 4 days in office per week.

What you'll do:

Artist Accounting & Royalty Settlements

  • Prepare and maintain artist royalty statements and settlement schedules across multiple revenue channels, including Tour, Ecommerce, Retail, and Licensing, for affiliates across the Ceremony of Roses group.
  • Review artist contracts and related agreements to ensure accurate interpretation and application of royalty rates, profit splits, recoupable costs, advances, and other settlement terms.
  • Reconcile revenue, costs, cash activity, and other settlement inputs to underlying operational and accounting records.
  • Identify settlement discrepancies, investigate variances, and coordinate with affiliate finance and operating teams to resolve issues on a timely basis.

Affiliate Support & Workload Triage

  • Provide artist accounting and finance support across Ceremony of Roses affiliated companies based on business needs, settlement calendars, and workload priorities.
  • Partner with finance leads across the group to assess open deliverables, prioritize work, and provide additional capacity where it is most needed.
  • Adapt to different affiliate processes, systems, and business models while helping drive consistency in artist accounting practices across the group.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Support analysis of artist and project economics, including revenue, costs, margins, royalties, and settlement performance across revenue channels.
  • Assist with variance analysis and other financial reporting needed to explain artist, project, or affiliate performance.
  • Prepare schedules, analyses, and reporting materials for affiliate finance teams and Ceremony of Roses leadership as needed.

Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Support month-end close activities across affiliates, including preparation and review of artist royalty, revenue, cost, and tour-related accruals.
  • Reconcile artist accounting and operational data to the general ledger and investigate differences across systems or reporting sources.
  • Partner with affiliate Accounting and Finance teams to support complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting.

Process Improvement & Special Projects

  • Help standardize artist accounting, settlement, and reconciliation processes across the Ceremony of Roses group while respecting affiliate-specific business requirements.
  • Assist with process improvements, documentation, and automation initiatives that improve the timeliness and accuracy of artist accounting and reporting.
  • Support ad hoc finance, accounting, and cross-functional projects across affiliates as priorities evolve.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1 – 2 years of experience in accounting, artist/royalty accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to reconcile and analyze large or detailed financial datasets.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret contracts and translate financial terms into accurate royalty and settlement calculations.
  • Experience with royalty reporting, artist accounting, revenue-share arrangements, or similar contractual accounting models.
  • Experience working with merchandise, Ecommerce, retail, touring, licensing, music, entertainment, or consumer product revenue streams is preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, royalty platforms, or other financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across different teams, affiliates, and operating environments.

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
