Description
Manager, Patient Analytics
Role overview
We are looking for a Manager to lead patient analytics engagements. The initial focus will be breast cancer related engagements, with the opportunity to expand into other Oncology, Immunology and Rare disease indications as our pipeline grows for US pharma clients. You will own delivery from scoping to final insights, guide a team of analysts and consultants, and act as the client’s trusted advisor on patient journey, treatment landscape, and launch questions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end patient analytics engagements, from scoping and planning to delivery and executive-ready storytelling.
Drive breast cancer engagements in the near term (HR+/HER2-, HER2+, triple-negative; early vs. metastatic; biomarker testing and treatment sequencing), and adapt analytical frameworks to new disease areas as projects come in.
Analyze biomarker testing (HER2, ER/PR, PD-L1 status) and the gaps between testing and treatment.
Analyze APLD/claims, EMR, and lab/genomic data to generate insights on patient journey, line-of-therapy (LOT) progression, source of business, persistency and adherence, segmentation, and care gaps.
Apply ML-based patient finding, propensity and predictive models (likely progression or switch), and journey analytics with machine learning, where they add value.
Support launch analytics, market sizing, and brand performance tracking, and oversee data architecture, ETL, and dashboards (Tableau or equivalent) that enable client decision-making.
Serve as the primary client point of contact, managing expectations and building long-term partnerships.
Mentor and develop team members, and contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and reusable analytics assets.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Healthcare Management).
6+ years of experience in US pharma consulting, with a strong focus on patient analytics and claims data.
Must have: Hands-on experience delivering breast cancer patient analytics projects (e.g., patient journey, LOT, adherence, or segmentation work on breast cancer cohorts).
Knowledge of NCCN guidelines and oncology coding (ICD-10, NDC, J-codes), and of how treatments are captured in medical vs. pharmacy claims and inpatient vs. outpatient settings.
Broader experience in Oncology, Immunology, or Rare disease analytics, with the ability to apply learnings across disease types.
Experience building predictive or machine learning models on real-world data
Experience with APLD/claims, EMR, lab, and retail/non-retail datasets; proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark; experience building or overseeing dashboards in Tableau or similar BI tools.
Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing client engagements, with strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
