Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Customer Service Patrol in Marlborough, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document security-related activity using computer or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Support a welcoming retail environment by providing directions, assisting with customer inquiries, and maintaining professional communication with tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
