The Training Manager develops, manages, coordinates, and delivers training programs that strengthen team member performance, service excellence, and workforce readiness across Live! Casino & Hotel. In this role, you serve as the primary facilitator of company‑wide learning experiences, presenting high‑energy, engaging training sessions for hourly, salaried, and executive team members. You work closely with management and supervisory leaders to identify training needs, determine effective training methods, assess learning gaps, and develop solutions that support operational goals. By partnering with HR, Operations, and Talent Acquisition, you ensure new and existing team members have the skills, knowledge, and behaviors required to succeed. You maintain essential compliance training, support curriculum execution, and reinforce company standards through consistent communication and delivery. 

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact: 

  • Facilitate engaging, high‑impact training sessions for hourly and salaried team members, including New Hire Orientation, New Leader Orientation, guest service programs, leadership classes, and department‑specific training. 
  • Build and maintain training calendars based on identified needs, operational priorities, and compliance requirements. 
  • Launch new training initiatives and ensure consistent execution across departments. 
  • Revise and update existing training programs to reflect changes in business needs, service standards, or regulatory requirements. 
  • Apply effective instructional techniques including group facilitation, demonstrations, on‑the‑job training, workshops, and blended learning. 
  • Work with Operational Leaders and HRBPs to identify training gaps and deliver materials that support performance expectations. 
  • Source, evaluate, and coordinate external training programs to supplement instructor‑led offerings. 
  • Maintain training manuals, reference libraries, testing tools, visual aids, and other learning resources. 
  • Train supervisors and designated instructors on effective facilitation techniques. 
  • Manage completion of required programs including Title 31, ServeSafe, and Responsible Gaming. 
  • Track attendance, maintain accurate training records, and compile reports for HR and Operations. 
  • Partner with Risk Management to support safety training and participate on the Safety Committee. 
  • Oversee weekly Orientation, Mentor Training, and leadership/management training schedules. 
  • Administer the Learning Management System, assign courses, track completions, and support users. 
  • Assist HR Leaders with performance review training, Employee Opinion Survey communication, and 360‑assessment logistics. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

 

Skills to Help You Succeed: 

  • Strong presentation, design and facilitation skills from a training perspective.   
  • Learning Management System (LMS) experience required.  
  • Ability to revise or adapt training materials; formal Instructional Design experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization.   
  • Excellent written, oral communication skills; emphasis on attention to details and follow-up.  
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.  
  • Self-motivated and assertive with a can-do attitude.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.  

Qualifications

 Must Haves: 

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience designing, developing, and implementing training programs with the casino, service or hospitality industry.  
  • A four (4)-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, a master’s degree is preferred.  
  • ATD Certification preferred.  
  • LMS administration experience required. 
  • Group presentation and/or facilitation experience required.   
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain the appropriate gaming license for position as determined by the State Lottery and Gaming Commission.
