R&D Test and Integration Engineer (Wädenswil)

Creoptix AG, a brand of Malvern Panalytical, provides the next-generation bioanalytical instruments based on the proprietary Grating-Coupled-Interferometry (GCI) technology. Our products are used for drug discovery and life sciences for both industry and academic research.

Our instruments combine advanced opto-mechatronic engineering with sophisticated software, enabling precise and reliable bioanalytical measurements. To expand our inter-disciplinary R&D team based in Wädenswil we are seeking a Test and Integration Engineer.

Your role and responsibilities

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of hardware and software engineers and application scientists developing next generation GCI products. You will report to R&D Manager.

As R&D Test and Integration Engineer you will

• Take part in design, prototyping and testing activities for electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and complete systems with embedded software elements.
• Develop integration and testing procedures, and related documentation
• Develop test execution and data analysis software tools using Python, Lua, HTML.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and field service teams for handover and training.
• Lead or take part in troubleshooting and root-cause finding investigations.

Required Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English.
• Hands-on mechatronics expertise, comfortably working with mechanical, electrical/electronic and software components with a “maker” mindset.
• Ability to use CAD (Solidworks preferred) for construction of prototypes and test infrastructure with traditional and 3D printed mechanics.
• Good understanding of electronic components and their interfacing. Use of measuring equipment for testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to write and debug test software with basic data collection, processing and plotting. Ability to utilize AI agents for accelerated development.
• Strong ownership of tasks and result oriented work style within a collaborative team environment.
• Eligible for working in Switzerland.
