The Manager supports the Facilities leadership team with managing day-to-day activities; collaborates with the operations team and liaises with the facilities team to ensure conducive process and project coordination; participates in the multitude of planning stages that take place leading up to events and transportation dates; and manages the communication of all necessary updates to the appropriate colleagues and team members.

In addition to events, the Manager serves as an operational resource for the Office of Facilities and Operations by coordinating assigned facilities services and supporting University-wide operational needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing elevator service calls, managing pest control scheduling and service needs, coordinating moves and furniture relocation requests, conducting building cleanliness inspections, assisting with Residence Life, Faculty Housing and Guest Housing turnover inspections and meeting with vendors regarding facilities work and service requests.

Related experience in higher education is highly preferred. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute the required experience on a year-for-year basis. NOTE: This position also requires the ability to perform essential functions that require moderate physical activity including, but not limited to: driving, walking long distances/standing for long durations of time outdoors/indoors, bending and/or stooping, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidate must have proficiency in Office 365 and basic computer operations; excellent oral and written communication skills; a strong focus on customer service; and the ability to work a flexible schedule and be the on-call on-site manager.
