Carpenter Foreman

One of our trusted contractors is looking for experienced Carpentry Foremen and strong Journeymen Carpenters ready to take the next step into leadership.

If you’re already a Carpentry Foreman, we want to talk to you. If you’re a strong Journeyman Carpenter with Foreman potential, we’re also interested. The client is willing to provide approximately 90 days of training and development to help the right carpenter transition into a Foreman role.

Job Duties

• Lead and coordinate a 3–4 person carpentry crew
• Direct day-to-day work and keep projects moving
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
• Perform hands-on carpentry work alongside your crew
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
• Coordinate materials, tools, and daily manpower needs
• Communicate with project management and other trades
• Train and mentor less-experienced carpenters
• Help maintain a clean and organized job site
• Travel between project locations throughout the 495 belt

Requirements

• Proven carpentry experience
• Previous Foreman experience or strong Journeyman Carpenter with demonstrated leadership potential
• Ability to lead a small crew and work independently
• Strong understanding of commercial/residential construction practices
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel between Boston-area and Southern NH job sites
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Dependable, professional, and safety-minded
• Must be willing to work hands-on — this is a working Foreman position
