Fullstack Engineer (Scala/TypeScript)

N-iX is looking for a Fullstack Engineer (Scala/TypeScript) to help redefine how the world handles business intelligence.

Our customer is the semantic layer for modern data and AI. They bridge the gap between complex cloud data platforms- like Snowflake, Databricks, and Google BigQuery - and the business users who need consistent, AI-ready analytics. 

Responsibilities:

• Take features end-to-end across the Fullstack - from backend Scala (70%) engine APIs down to TypeScript (30%) UI components- without handing off work.
• Leverage AI tools across the development lifecycle for code generation, review, testing, and investigation, maintaining full ownership and accountability for everything you ship.
• Mentor fellow engineers through code reviews, onboarding, and unblocking technical hurdles to continuously raise the team's engineering standards.
• Navigate incomplete requirements independently by resolving ambiguity, proposing clear technical approaches, and driving execution forward.
• Collaborate asynchronously via strong written communication across remote teams in the US, Latin America, and Europe.

Requirements:

• You bring 7+ years of experience building, owning, and shipping production software end-to-end.
• You possess strong backend engineering skills with functional programming experience, specifically in Scala.
• You are fluent across the stack, with demonstrated experience in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• You have deep expertise in SQL along with a working understanding of relational databases and query behavior.
• You hold a track record of mentoring engineers, raising the technical bar, and thriving in fast-paced environments with asynchronous, written communication.
• You are comfortable in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift quickly.
• You value quality over speed and are curious about using AI to improve efficiency.
• You have experience with semantic layers, OLAP, dimensional modeling, or shipping LLM/AI-backed features to production (Nice to Have).
• You have experience with Kubernetes, containerized deployments, or BI/cloud data tools like Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Tableau (Nice to Have).
