Material Handler - Temporary

Overview

The Material handler’s main role will be supporting the distribution in all material handling functions. These functions will include and not limited to:

• Verifying materials that are picked and staged got shipping.
• Box making, Labelling, Cold environments processing, Picking (walking), 
• Packing (standing) carrier package sorting, Stacking pallets, wrapping and strapping with safety clean up. Break down packages and inspect products for defects Pallatize, wrap and strap pallets as necessary Sort and separate freight as needed Meeting daily shipping objectives is the goal

• Attendance:  On time to work as scheduled. Planning days off. Adhering to the break and lunch schedule.

• Flexibility: Working with peers learning the operation and being able to change tasks rapidly to support the daily demands.

• Productive: Staying focused on the end result, completing competing priorities promptly. Safety: Cleaning as they go, staying vigilant in their surroundings

What You Bring:

• Dependability with a strong work ethic, positive attitude with the can do motivation to get tasks completed.
• Basic warehouse experience and understanding of warehouse layout and functions of distribution
• Basic computer skills with the use of any warehouse management system.
• Ability to work in a paced environment while moving upright for 6 to 10 hours.
• Positive attitude with the can-do motivation to get tasks completed.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience with a warehouse facilty.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions.
• Basic computer skills in applicable programs, Use of rRF scanning device
• Self motivated to get the job done right the first time.
• Experience and ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks or applicable equipment utilized in the workplace.
• Basic problem solving skills and good comunication skills.
• Ability to prioritize work While being flexible and adaptable
• Ability to lift 50 lb items.

Compensation: The estimated hourly range for this position is $17.79 to $24.52 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.  As a temporary associate, your employment will be managed directly through our approved agency provider.
