Job Title: L3 Cyber Security Specialist (SOC Engineer)

Location: Centurion, South Africa (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Salary: R50,000 per month

About the Role:

Snode Technologies is seeking a Level 3 SOC Engineer to provide advanced cybersecurity support, including incident escalation, threat enrichment, and service quality assurance. This role is ideal for passionate cybersecurity professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, digital-first environment and have a strong understanding of cloud, network, and cybersecurity realms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Incident Management & Escalation: Provide Level 3 support for critical security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
• Threat Intelligence & Enrichment: Analyze security events to enhance threat detection and improve response strategies.
• Security Operations & Quality Assurance: Maintain high operational standards, ensuring efficient SOC processes and compliance with security policies.
• Technical Advisory: Act as a trusted cybersecurity expert, guiding junior engineers and collaborating with internal teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to security automation, threat hunting, and proactive defense strategies.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years in a SOC or cybersecurity environment with hands-on incident response experience.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, cloud security, and digital security frameworks.
• Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CEH, Security+, or equivalent cybersecurity credentials.
• Mindset: Proactive, analytical, and passionate about securing digital environments.
