Job Summary

HP Poly is a global leader in professional-grade audio, video, and collaboration solutions that enable people to communicate and collaborate effectively from anywhere. The Director of Microsoft Teams Solutions is responsible for managing HP Poly's engagement with Microsoft Teams across product management, engineering coordination, certification programs, platform integration, and new product development activities.

This role serves as the primary liaison between HP Poly product management, engineering, quality, certification, program management, and Microsoft Teams organizations. The Director is responsible for ensuring HP Poly products successfully achieve and maintain Microsoft Teams certification, meet platform requirements, support new product introductions, and deliver industry-leading collaboration experiences.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Teams, enterprise collaboration technologies, product development processes, and cross-functional leadership. This individual will play a critical role in driving execution across certification, engineering, and product activities while ensuring alignment between HP Poly solutions and Microsoft Teams requirements.

Responsibilities

Microsoft Teams Certification Leadership

  • Lead and manage Microsoft Teams certification activities across HP Poly's collaboration portfolio.
  • Coordinate certification planning, testing, validation, compliance requirements, and certification schedules with internal teams and Microsoft stakeholders.
  • Drive certification readiness for new and existing products while ensuring successful certification outcomes.
  • Monitor certification requirements, identify risks, manage dependencies, and work cross-functionally to resolve certification issues.
  • Maintain expertise on Microsoft Teams certification programs and communicate changing requirements across HP Poly organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for certification escalations and compliance-related activities.

Engineering Engagement and Technical Coordination

  • Serve as the primary interface between HP Poly engineering organizations and Microsoft Teams engineering teams.
  • Coordinate technical engagements, engineering discussions, architecture reviews, design reviews, interoperability efforts, and platform integration activities.
  • Facilitate communication between organizations to ensure successful execution of platform requirements and engineering objectives.
  • Lead technical escalation activities, including issue triage, root cause analysis, prioritization, and resolution efforts.
  • Partner with software, hardware, quality, and systems engineering teams to address platform-related issues impacting certification, product launches, or customer experiences.
  • Drive alignment on technical requirements, schedules, dependencies, milestones, and release readiness activities.
  • Support platform integration efforts and ensure product teams understand and implement Microsoft Teams requirements.


Product Management and New Product Introduction

  • Partner with Product Management teams to support the successful development and launch of Microsoft Teams certified solutions.
  • Translate Microsoft Teams requirements into actionable product requirements and development activities.
  • Support new product introductions by coordinating platform readiness, certification planning, feature validation, and launch requirements.
  • Represent Microsoft Teams platform needs throughout the product lifecycle and provide guidance on customer requirements, feature implementation, interoperability considerations, and platform compliance.
  • Support prioritization decisions by providing insight into Microsoft Teams requirements, certification impacts, technical dependencies, and customer needs.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve customer experiences within the Microsoft Teams ecosystem.


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Customer Support, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure successful execution of Microsoft Teams initiatives.
  • Build alignment across organizations and influence decision-making without direct authority.
  • Communicate platform requirements, certification status, technical risks, engineering priorities, and critical milestones to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Drive accountability and execution across multiple organizations to ensure successful product delivery and certification outcomes.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Utilize product metrics, certification results, customer feedback, support trends, and engineering performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Establish key performance indicators related to certification success, issue resolution, engineering responsiveness, platform readiness, and product quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-informed recommendations and operational excellence.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Serve as HP Poly's internal subject matter expert for Microsoft Teams platform requirements, certifications, and integration activities.
  • Provide guidance to executive leadership, product teams, engineering organizations, support teams, and field organizations regarding Microsoft Teams requirements and best practices.
  • Support customer discussions, executive reviews, and strategic engagements where Microsoft Teams expertise is required.

Education & Experience


Experience Requirements

  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Teams and enterprise collaboration technologies.
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft Teams certification programs and compliance activities.
  • Experience coordinating engineering engagements and technical programs across multiple organizations.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise collaboration devices, software integrations, and platform ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and drive execution across product and engineering teams.
  • Experience managing technical escalations and issue resolution activities.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and relationship-management skills.

The pay range for this role is $147,050 to $230,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
