This is anticipated to be a short-term position lasting approximately six months to one year. At the conclusion of the assignment, the employee may be considered for an Operator position or other available opportunities within the company based on business needs, qualifications, and performance.
Schedule: Afternoon/evening hours, Monday through Friday. We are open to one full-time or two part-time drivers to cover both shifts. Overtime available upon request and approval.

What we are looking for:
The Trailer Spotter/Yard Truck Driver is responsible for supporting production operations through the safe and efficient movement, spotting, and staging of tanker trailers. This position works closely with Production Supervisors and Team Leads to ensure trailers are available and positioned as needed to support daily production activities and minimize operational delays.
The role is responsible for safely moving tractor and tanker trailers within company property and between designated company lots while following all DOT, Feed Energy, and applicable driving and safety requirements. Additional responsibilities include assisting with trailer inspections, monitoring trailer locations and inventory, and communicating trailer availability or maintenance concerns to the appropriate team members.
What you will do:
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractors and trailers and promptly report safety, mechanical, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Safely operate yard trucks to move, spot, stage, and organize tanker trailers based on production needs.
- Move tractors and tanker trailers between designated company lots while obeying all traffic laws, DOT requirements, and Feed Energy safety procedures.
- Work closely with Production Supervisors and Team Leads to prioritize trailer movements and ensure the appropriate trailers are available and positioned for production.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of trailers, including trailer numbers, locations, availability, and status, and communicate changes to the appropriate team members.
- Verify trailers are properly positioned, connected, disconnected, and secured before and after movement.
- Maintain general tractor, trailer, and yard safety while ensuring equipment is operated in accordance with company policies and established procedures.
- Keep yard trucks and assigned equipment clean and organized to maintain a safe and professional working environment.
- Immediately report spills, equipment damage, safety concerns, or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor and follow established response procedures.
- Ensure Feed Safety/Food Safety by following all Safe Feed/Safe Food policies and protocols and taking immediate corrective action when safety or quality concerns arise.

- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and the overall success of plant operations.
Requirements
What you will need:
- High school diploma or GED
- CDL A with Tanker Endorsement
- 2+ years of Tanker Trailer experience preferred
