Overview of the Role 

The role of the Maintenance Scheduler is critical to the ongoing success of the Maintenance and Reliability effort. The Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance tasks and activities across our facilities. The job will include scheduling, coordinating preventative maintenance, responding to emergency maintenance requests, and managing maintenance of team resources. 


Salary

$61,985.00 to $77,480.00

 

How you will make contributions that matter: 

 

  • Determines available manpower in conjunction with maintenance Planner and vacation schedules. 
  • Determines priority of work using the Risk Assessment Method (RAM) provided by Planner. 
  • Creates both weekly and daily schedules based on work planned by Planner. 
  • Determines equipment availability in conjunction with operations scheduling. 
  • Coordinates with the Maintenance team and other stakeholders for scheduling and execution of tasks. 
  • Develops weekly and shutdown schedules as required. 
  • Balances labor resources and priorities 
  • Manages maintenance backlog 
  • Coordinates and schedules work for all third parties’ activities and contractors. 
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are tracked and documented. 
  • Communicates equipment and job order status to appropriate people and departments. 
  • Communicate regularly with management about the status of maintenance activities. 
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure understanding of the schedule. 
  • Generates Maintenance reports and KPIs. 
  • Respect the organization's policies, applicable laws, and ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner. 
  • Work closely with the material coordinator to align strategies for best inventory management of maintenance supplies, tools and equipment. 
  • Support emergency maintenance requests as needed. 
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety & food safety rules and regulations. 
  • Other duties performed as assigned. 

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:  

  • A Technical qualification or Trade Ticket. 
  • Excellent with advanced Microsoft Excel.  
  • Experience in Planning and scheduling in the food industry is considered an asset. 
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional is considered an asset. 
  • Knowledgeable about Lean Six Sigma processes and terminology. 
  • Experience with safe work practices, such as Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), confined spaces, job task permitting, etc. 
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as FIIX, SAP.
