Athena Mental Health is a New York State mental health-approved provider of community mental health services for children, adults, and families with behavioral and emotional challenges. Job Purpose
The PMHNP Intern will receive training and support in an outpatient Article 31 setting to increase their clinical skill set to address the psychiatric needs of the general population, including children and adolescents. Interns will be responsible for conducting initial client intakes for children, adolescents, and adults after a period of training. The intern will also have the opportunity to shadow psychiatrists and PNHNPs who are providing medication management. This academic internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment, aimed at developing essential skills and knowledge in mental health and social services.
This internship requires a 2-semester commitment.
