SUMMARY: Directly supervise employees in the Warehouse Department, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include employee training, work planning, assignment, and direction, scheduling, managing overtime, performance appraisal, disciplinary actions, addressing complaints, and problem resolution. Maintain accurate inventory records for both in-house and vendor-received goods. Oversee housekeeping in the dock area and manage a safe working environment, particularly in conditions of extreme cold and occasional vibration. Ensure compliance with all safety and policy procedures as specified by Tyson Foods. Additional responsibilities include promoting consistent adherence to product quality and safety processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervision:
- Directly supervise Warehouse Department employees.
- Implement and enforce organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training to warehouse staff.
- Foster a learning environment and encourage skill development.
- Work Planning and Assignment:
- Plan and assign tasks efficiently.
- Direct work activities to ensure optimal productivity.
- Scheduling and Overtime Management:
- Develop schedules for warehouse operations.
- Manage overtime effectively.
- Performance Appraisal:
- Regularly assess employee performance.
- Implement performance improvement strategies as needed.
- Disciplinary Actions:
- Address disciplinary issues promptly and appropriately.
- Ensure fair and consistent application of disciplinary measures.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve employee complaints.
- Identify and resolve operational problems.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee accurate recording of all inventory transactions.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to manage inventory efficiently.
- Housekeeping:
- Manage and enforce housekeeping standards in the dock area.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety procedures.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure consistent adherence to product quality and safety processes.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform any other duties as needed.
- Attend training classes as required, with potential for some travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent OR 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a warehouse or logistics setting preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Travel: Some travel may be required to attend training classes.
- Special Skills: Motivated self-starter with a desire to learn and the ability to lead others.

- Must reside in the United States.
ADDITIONAL INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must not have 4 or more attendance points on an 8-point policy on date of application.
- No written warnings in the last six (6) months (from application date).
- No suspensions on record for the last (12) months (from application date).
