Job Summary

The Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the Process Safety Management program at Tyson Foods. This position ensures compliance with OSHA PSM standards and applicable safety regulations by evaluating work environments and developing programs and procedures to prevent injuries, illnesses, and incidents related to chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic hazards. The role partners with cross functional teams to implement safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and support a culture of safety.

 

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • +3 years of experience in Process Safety Management, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA PSM standards and applicable safety regulations preferred

 

Knowledge skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of process safety principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management systems.

 

 

Certifications:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in office and production environments.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training, audits, or inspections.
