Role: Programmatic Associate Trader (Advertising)
Reports to: Trader Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC
THE OPPORTUNITY
MiQ is looking for an Associate Trader based in Vancouver. The successful candidate will be empowered to directly trade and execute programmatic media campaigns across a diverse portfolio of business.
The Associate Trader position is at the heart of MiQ’s business, providing a unique link between commercial and analysis functions. The Associate Trader will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Sales, Account Management, Product, Analysis and R&D teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Associate Trader role involves making investment decisions on clients advertising spend in a manner which maximizes ROI objectives.
The main job responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Traders in regular monitoring of campaign performance
- General campaign analysis and optimization
- Working with Account Management and Analysis Team to ensure campaign performance is strong, the client objectives are being met, and ensure outcomes are reflected in the insight reports
- Assisting in trading decisions (the bidding and buying of online media)
- Supporting the trading team in retaining clients by surpassing their ROI objectives
- Helping to scale campaigns; increasing the amount of ad spend from clients
- Managing client reporting, feedback, insights and analysis
- Generating end of month billing reports for clients
- Monitoring of ongoing performance and pacing within internal programs and systems
- Creating custom campaign planning, management and reporting
- Working with MiQ business support teams on the following:
- Ad Trafficking
- Client Reporting and insights
- Screenshots
- Pixel Generation
- General troubleshooting
- Ongoing communication with international counterparts to ensure global standards are met (ie, Europe, US and India)
- Supporting the team to manage client relationships specific to client performance
- Maintain a working understanding of the company structure and analysis platform
- Maintaining and developing a comprehensive understanding of MiQ products
Qualifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills are essential
- Attention to detail and the ability to proactively solve problems
- The ability to work with large datasets in Excel
- A working knowledge of statistical models
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative skills with both internal and external teams
- A start-up mindset

Pay Transparency
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in British Columbia, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to British Columbia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $40,000- $60,000. This range does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
Regardless of location, candidates can expect during the first few conversations with MiQ’s Talent team and Hiring Managers to share any approved budget and details on our competitive bonus and commission packages.
