Technician Electro-Mechanical III
The Manufacturing Tech – Electromechanical III supports Drilling Services Manufacturing through wiring, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of electro-mechanical MWD/LWD assets. The role requires strong technical capability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to raise improvement ideas that enhance HSE, Quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.
Role Overview
The role is responsible for supporting manufacturing wiring, assembly, testing, and reliability activities for Drilling & Evaluation downhole tools and related electro-mechanical systems. The technician will perform hands-on technical work within the limits of proven competence, follow formal procedures, and support operational readiness through accurate execution and documentation.

- As an Engineering Professional - Mechanical Component, you will be responsible for:
- Perform wiring, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical drilling tools, components, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, parts lists, and technical procedures to complete work accurately and safely.
- Perform soldering and assembly of electro-mechanical components in accordance with approved work instructions and quality standards.
- Use and operate electrical test instruments, including Wee Tech, multimeters, meggers, hi-pot testers, and other relevant diagnostic tools.
- Support scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness.
- Perform quality assurance checks in line with manufacturing, engineering, ISO, and internal compliance requirements.
- Apply technical knowledge of AC/DC electrical circuits, , mechanical assemblies, and precision measuring equipment.
- Identify technical issues, support root cause analysis, and contribute to practical troubleshooting solutions.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including quality and engineering to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Maintain accurate assembly administration records, system updates, and documentation required for traceability and compliance.

To be successful in this role you will:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Technical vocational certification in AC/DC electrical circuits, fluid power systems, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical wiring, assembly, testing and troubleshooting
- Previous experience in Baker Hughes Drilling Services TIDs full rebuild / Manufacturing assembly for downhole MWD/LWD tools.
- Demonstrated track record of proactively raising Stop Work actions related to HSE, Quality, or operational risk, with the ability to identify unsafe conditions, quality concerns, and process deviations.
- Proven contribution to improvement ideas, initiatives, or projects that delivered measurable value to Drilling Services in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational efficiency.
- Strong proactive mindset with demonstrated ownership, accountability, and a continuous improvement approach across HSE, Quality, delivery, and cost performance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with practical experience using general hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to identify technical problems, follow structured troubleshooting steps, and support timely resolution.
