Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organized People & Culture Specialist to support our growing India operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations while also overseeing office administration and facilities management. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with global HR teams, support monthly payroll processes, and help foster a positive employee experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources Operations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees in India, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee inquiries.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, and personnel records management.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, communications, and workplace events.
- Assist with performance management, employee relations matters, and HR programs as needed.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
Global HR Collaboration
- Partner with global HR and People teams to implement company-wide HR initiatives, policies, and processes.
- Support the localization and communication of global HR programs for employees in India.
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance requirements requested by regional or global stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between India employees and global HR teams to ensure consistent employee support and communication.
Payroll Support
- Collect, validate, and submit monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, leave records, new hires, terminations, reimbursements, and other payroll-related data.
- Coordinate with payroll vendors and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Assist employees with payroll-related questions and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee compensation information.
Office Management & Facilities
- Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive workplace environment.
- Coordinate office facilities, maintenance, security, housekeeping, and vendor relationships.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and workplace services.
- Support workspace planning, office events, employee meetings, and visitor management.
- Partner with building management and service providers to address facility-related issues promptly.
- Support Company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Exceptional English language skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR operations, HR generalist, or people operations roles.
- Strong understanding of Indian labor laws and HR practices.
- Experience supporting payroll processes and employee lifecycle administration.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience working in a multinational or global organization.
- Exposure to office administration and facilities management responsibilities.
- Familiarity with payroll vendors and HR compliance requirements in India.
