Description
Palm House | Palm Beach, Florida
Exceptional hospitality begins with people who feel valued.
At Palm House, luxury is expressed through thoughtful details, personal connections, and the people who bring our hotel to life. We are seeking an Assistant People & Culture Manager who will bring that same care to the experience of every team member.
Everyone has a story. We are looking for someone who takes the time to listen, recognizes potential, and understands that trust is built through kindness, consistency, and follow-through.
Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, you will help create an environment where team members feel welcomed, supported, and proud to belong. From a candidate’s first conversation to a colleague’s next career milestone, your work will make a meaningful difference.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an approachable, organized professional who combines genuine care with sound judgment—someone equally comfortable celebrating an achievement, guiding a manager, or having a thoughtful, honest conversation.
Your Role
- Partner with the Director of People & Culture to deliver attentive, responsive support to team members and leaders.
- Coordinate recruitment for permanent and seasonal positions, creating a professional and personal candidate experience.
- Lead welcoming onboarding and orientation experiences that introduce our culture, service expectations, and standards.
- Coordinate training, maintain completion records, and support leadership development and service excellence.
- Help bring recognition programs, team celebrations, wellness activities, and community initiatives to life.
- Support employee engagement surveys and work with leaders to turn feedback into meaningful action.
- Assist with routine employee relations matters, document concerns accurately, and escalate sensitive issues appropriately.
- Coach managers on communication, recognition, accountability, and consistent application of hotel policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support People & Culture reporting, compliance tracking, and daily operations.
- Collaborate with Payroll & Benefits to coordinate employee changes and respond to team member questions.
- Support FuturePlus initiatives and documentation, helping connect our people practices with our sustainability commitments.
- Assist with intern supervision, departmental projects, and other duties assigned by the Director of People & Culture.
Bring your professionalism, your ideas, and your heart for people. Help us make Palm House a place where exceptional careers—and meaningful connections—grow.
Palm House is an equal opportunity employer.
