JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Sales Executive is responsible for supporting marketing, leasing and occupancy/revenue objectives for Canvas by delivering activities related to leasing to new residents and renewals of existing residents. These include qualifying leads, arranging community tours and unit viewings and completing the requisite resident administration to secure the reservation.JOB DESCRIPTION
The Opportunity
You are the engine room of the B2C leasing operation. Reporting to the Sales Manager — B2B & B2C, you are the direct manager of the centralised leasing team — up to 8 people during high season — and the person who turns strategy into daily execution. You live in the detail of the funnel: every lead, every viewing, every conversion. Your job is to keep the team productive, focused and consistently hitting target, and to make sure nothing falls through the cracks between a first enquiry and a signed lease. You lead from the floor, set the pace, and hold the standard for quality and attention to detail across every stage of the resident journey.
What You'll Drive
Lead and Manage the B2C Leasing Team
- Act as the direct line manager for the B2C leasing team of up to 8 people during high season — owning day-to-day management, priorities, workload and scheduling.
- Set clear daily and weekly targets for each team member and keep the team focused, motivated and accountable to them.
- Coach and develop individuals on the floor — through call listening, viewing shadowing and real-time feedback — raising the capability and consistency of the whole team.
- Manage shift patterns and seasonal peaks so the team is always resourced to handle demand without dropping service levels.
Drive Productivity and Maximise Results
- Own the productivity of the B2C leasing team — monitoring output, activity levels and conversion for every individual, and stepping in quickly where performance dips.
- Maximise conversion at every stage of the funnel, from inbound enquiry to signed lease, removing friction and chasing every opportunity to close.
- Track individual and team KPIs daily, using the numbers to prioritise effort, reallocate resource and unlock the next incremental result.
- Keep the team hitting occupancy and revenue targets, escalating risks and opportunities to the Sales Manager early.
Own the Detail Across the Leasing Funnel
- Take ownership of accuracy and attention to detail across everything funnel-related — lead data, availability, pricing, tenancy documentation and CRM records.
- Ensure every enquiry is logged, followed up and progressed on time, with no lead left unattended.
- Maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline and reservation record so availability and forecasting are always reliable.
- Enforce a consistent, high-quality standard across all channels — calls, chat, email and in-person viewings — and across every piece of tenancy documentation.
- Manage move-ins, move-outs, renewals and notices to vacate with precision, ensuring a smooth experience for every resident.
Your Profile
You are a hands-on team leader who gets results through people and detail. You are happiest close to the action — on the floor with your team, in the CRM, on top of the numbers — and you have an instinct for spotting where a lead is stalling or a process is leaking. You set a high bar, you hold it, and you bring the team with you.
Essential
- Proven experience leading or supervising a sales, leasing or customer-service team, ideally in real estate, student housing/PBSA, hospitality or a comparable high-volume environment.
- A track record of driving team productivity and hitting conversion, occupancy or sales targets.
- Hands-on experience managing a leasing or sales funnel end to end, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- A natural coach who develops people through day-to-day feedback and keeps a team motivated under pressure.
- Confident with CRM and sales tools (e.g. Yardi, Salesforce or similar) and comfortable working from KPIs and reports.
- Highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities and seasonal peaks without losing focus or quality.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset — whether the customer is a student, a parent or a colleague.
- Fluent French and English (written and verbal); Spanish is a strong plus.
Our Values
Everything we do is guided by six core values. We don't just name them — we hire for them, live them every day, and hold each other accountable to them.
Integrity | Equality | Accountability | Professionalism | Teamwork | Service
