Purpose:
This position will be responsible for the management of Merchandise vendor subsidy programs and will provide merchandising leadership with business financial analysis and support.
This position will have daily interaction with Merchandising Vice Presidents and department Merchants to manage and implement solutions to increase vendor subsidy program’s profitability. The associate will work with an extensive cross functional team (Merchant, suppliers, Accounting, Store Operations, Finance, DCs and IT team). Strong operational and technical skills are highly recommended and required to be successful in this position. The ideal candidate will possess both strong quantitative and qualitative skillsets with a high aptitude to drive and lead process improvements in a fast-paced retail and dynamic organization. Recommended technical skills include knowledge in SQL, Python, SharePoint, and Microsoft suite applications.

Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for the full management of merchandising vendor subsidy programs and operational activities. Includes communicating, billing, and collection of earned income, fielding, and resolving all stakeholder (vendor, merchant, SSC) inquiries.
- Manage, support and work with field operations to resolve store RTVs (Return to Vendor) claims and programs impacting field operations.
- Facilitate Distribution center approved SOW (Statement of Work) and related vendor chargebacks.
- Lead Merchandise annual vendor Annual Business Agreement (ABA) renewal process.
- Analyze and perform analysis to identify, develop and implement solutions to increase subsidy program profitability.
- Continuously develop and improve stakeholder engagement (i.e., vendor, store, merchants, AP, DC team, etc..). Improve efficiencies through technical and programming knowledge (Python, SQL, SharePoint, MS office VBA, PowerShell, Talend Open Studio for Data Integration).
- Support Merchandise leadership team with pulling, analyze and performing financial business analysis and forecast.
- Create and manage reporting needs and manage business metrics with Finance/Accounting.
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL & ENVIRONMENT):
- Limited travel required including air and car
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
