We are looking for an Data Engineer to become a valued member of our IT team that takes pride in effectively responding to business needs and directly contributing to the success of the Company.

This position is not remote and requires living in the general Anderson, California area. The successful applicant requires current authorization to work in the United States as Sierra Pacific does not provide a Visa sponsorship.


About the Position

• Design, develop, and maintain reliable data integration solutions that make enterprise data accessible, consistent, secure, and useful across the company
  
• Design and support databases, data warehouses, and related data structures for reporting and analytics
  
• Engage and parter with BI developers and analysts to translate reporting needs into reliable back-end data solutions
  
• Develop scalable pipelines and processes that extract, transform, and load data from operational systems into data warehouses
  
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve data quality, refresh reliability and performance, and security throughout the data analytics environment
  
• Ensure company information security, data protection, and access control standards are followed
  
• Provide technical support, cross-training and proactive recommendations to strengthen the company’s data platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related program with strong relational database education
  
• Three or more years of professional experience working with databases, data integration, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, business intelligence, or related technologies
  
• Strong SQL development skills, including query optimization, data validation, and relational database design
  
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure SQL and experience developing and maintaining ETL/TLT processes
  
• Professional experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Git/source control, Python, Power Automate, or Power BI Projects (PBIP) is preferable
  
• Working knowledge of the IBM Db2 database is preferable
  
• Proven problem-solving and time-management skills
  
• Results-oriented; demonstrated sense of urgency and commitment to achieve efficient and accurate results
  
• Committed to the highest levels of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

The general wage range for this position at Sierra Pacific Industries is from $85,000 and $115,000 per year, and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to: relevant work experience, skill, knowledge, and/or education.
