  • Responsible for supporting the Accounts Receivable function through cash application, customer invoicing, credit memo processing, deduction management, and account reconciliations to ensure accurate revenue reporting and cash flow management.
  • Success in the first 6–12 months includes maintaining timely and accurate cash posting, reducing unapplied cash balances, improving deduction resolution processes, and supporting efficient month-end and quarter-end close activities.
  • Contributes to company priorities by ensuring financial accuracy, supporting working capital objectives, and delivering a positive customer experience through responsive account management.
  • Partners closely with the Accounts Receivable Team, Accounting, Customer Service, Logistics, Sales Operations, and external customers to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain account integrity.
  • Plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, financial controls, and process improvements across revenue-related activities.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage daily cash application activities, including bank deposits and customer payment processing to support accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  • Process customer invoices, credit memos, deductions, allowances, returns, write-offs, and refunds while maintaining compliance with company policies.
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash, customer chargebacks, short payments, and account discrepancies to improve collection efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Customer Service, Logistics, and Sales teams to investigate and resolve payment-related issues.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities, account reconciliations, reporting requirements, and special projects.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records and ensure timely distribution of invoices and account documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and workflow efficiencies within revenue operations and accounts receivable functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What It Takes

  •   2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounting Operations, Revenue Operations, or a related financial function.
  • Experience supporting consumer products, retail, wholesale, distribution, or related business environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing cash applications, reconciliations, deductions, and customer account transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external customers to resolve account and payment issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Capabilities

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to investigate payment discrepancies and reconcile account balances.
  • Execution-focused with a commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and continuous process improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with customers.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analyzing financial transactions and identifying trends or issues.
  • Adaptable and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Why this role matters

  • Directly contributes to improved cash flow, reduced outstanding receivables, and stronger financial reporting accuracy.

  • Plays a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction through prompt resolution of account issues and accurate financial transactions.
  • Success in this role enables stronger working capital management, scalable accounting operations, and continued business growth.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable, Accounting Clerk, Revenue Operations, or related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Teams.
  • Strong understanding of cash application processes, customer invoicing, credit memos, deductions, and account reconciliations.
