Job Description

Overview

Working in close collaboration with project design engineering, the RAMS Analyst will be responsible for performing the tasks related to the implementation of a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety program on projects in a public transport and rail context.

The RAMS analyst defines and proposes the methodologies, analyses, and reports required for a RAMS program in alignment with industry best practices, including the development of plans as well as reliability, maintainability, and safety analyses.

Your role

  • Serve as the RAMS subject matter expert for rail and public transit projects, including infrastructure, signaling, and rolling stock systems.
  • Develop and implement RAMS plans and assurance strategies to meet project requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead reliability, maintainability, and safety analyses, including RBD, MTTR, PHA, SSHA, FMECA, and FTA studies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and manage technical inputs required to complete RAMS assessments and deliverables.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor project Hazard Logs, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and closed with appropriate evidence.
  • Review supplier RAMS documentation, define RAMS requirements and allocations, and support the development of internal RAMS processes and best practices.
  • Collaborate with design, construction, and project teams to develop risk mitigation strategies, achieve project RAMS objectives, and identify new business opportunities.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline; professional registration with EGBC is considered an asset.
  • 2-5 years of experience in one or more RAMS disciplines, with exposure to rail and public transit projects considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of RAMS principles, methodologies, and applicable industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, effectively manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results while meeting deadlines and budget requirements.
