For our Animal Health location Boxmeer, we are currently recruiting a Senior Specialist Biotechnology Transfer Excellence

 

Welcome to our team

The Global Science & Technology (S&T) division provides technical expertise to our animal health manufacturing organizations, leveraging science, technology and innovation to ensure new product commercialization and supply continuity and innovation to ensure product commercialization and supply continuity. It continuously improves processes and analytics to meet customer demands through manufacturing excellence. Our S&T Excellence team has project and portfolio management responsibilities across the entire scope of activities, provides dedicated support to the manufacturing & quality organizations via several Centers of Excellence (Aseptic Excellence, Data Science and Process Excellence). To support our continued growth and to enable faster, more robust commercialisation of our pipeline and product transfers while improving efficiency and reducing Cost of Goods, we are building a new Transfer Excellence team.

 

Purpose of the role

The Senior Specialist S&T Technology Transfer Excellence supports the execution of site-to-site technology transfers across European manufacturing sites, with a focus on the Large Molecule network. In this role, you will contribute to end-to-end transfer delivery through strong coordination, technical input, and close stakeholder collaboration. Working in line with global strategy, standard methodologies, and supply continuity requirements, you will help ensure transfers are delivered efficiently, consistently, and with high quality. You will apply standard processes, support governance and reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement and simplification of transfer execution. In close collaboration with donor and receiving sites, as well as cross-functional partners, you will help enable successful transfer outcomes and support broader network priorities.

 

Tasks and responsibilities

•         Support end-to-end execution of site-to-site technology transfers across European sites.

•         Contribute to transfer activities across lifecycle phases, including scoping, planning, and execution.

•         Support delivery of transfers on scope, schedule, and quality requirements.

•         Identify and escalate risks, supporting mitigation actions to ensure supply continuity.

•         Act as point of contact for assigned transfer activities, supporting coordination between donor and receiving sites.

•         Apply S&T transfer methodologies, tools, and standard work across transfer execution.

•         Support governance processes including reporting, tracking, and performance visibility.

•         Contribute to clear and consistent portfolio reporting and visualization.

•         Provide guidance and support to site teams on the use of transfer frameworks and tools.

•         Support training and onboarding of teams to standardized transfer practices.

•         Contribute technical expertise to transfer teams based on manufacturing or process experience.

•         Support issue resolution and facilitate alignment across functions and sites.

•         Assist in ensuring readiness of receiving sites and effective knowledge transfer from sending sites.

•         Partner with Quality, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support transfer execution.

•         Facilitate communication and coordination across sites and functions.

•         Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

•         Support simplification and standardization of transfer processes and tools.

•         Contribute to improving right-first-time execution and reducing transfer cycle times.

•         Support regional portfolio tracking, prioritization insights, and performance monitoring. 

•         Assist with scoping and siting inputs for new transfer initiatives.

•         Contribute to network activities such as product introductions and capacity expansions.

 

Your profile

•         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.

•         Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, technical operations, or a related environment.

•         Exposure to technology transfer, process scale-up, or manufacturing science.

•         Understanding of Small Molecule and/or Large Molecule manufacturing principles.

•         Experience working within cross-functional or matrix organizations. 

•         Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.

•         Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capability.

•         Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment.

•         Strong stakeholder collaboration skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

•         Excellent command of the Dutch and English language.

•         Willing to travel around 20% of your time throughout Europe.

•         Living at a reasonable distance of Boxmeer.
