Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group-based digital literacy training to people of all ages with a wide range of disabilities, adapting instruction to meet different learning styles, abilities, and support needs.
  • Facilitate digital inclusion across diverse populations by delivering structured lessons that pair digital literacy tools with adaptive equipment like screen readers, magnification and alternative input devices.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in the use of computers, smartphones, tablets, mobile applications, and other digital tools to increase independence, confidence, and participation in everyday life.
  • Identify barriers to digital participation and develop practical strategies to address challenges by creating and delivering accessible learning materials, digital content, demonstrations, and training activities for individuals, caregivers, professionals, staff and community groups.
  • Demonstrate adaptive and assistive technologies, including accessibility features, apps, and emerging AI enabled technologies, and help clients identify tools that meet their individual goals.
  • Provide focused instruction (for example, Northstar Digital Literacy standards) tailored for clients with disabilities to build work readiness skills.
  • Support workforce development by helping clients use technology for job searching, online applications, resume development, virtual interviews, workplace communication, and other employment-related activities.
  • Conduct community outreach, technology demonstrations, resource fairs, presentations, and educational events to increase awareness of digital inclusion, accessibility, and available technology resources.
  • Partner with employers, workforce organizations, schools, healthcare providers, disability service organizations, and community agencies to expand access to digital literacy and assistive technology resources.
  • Stay current on emerging assistive technologies, accessibility features, digital learning tools, workforce technologies, and trends in digital inclusion.
  • Document client services, training activities, outcomes, referrals, and other program data accurately and in accordance with organizational and funder requirements.
  • Explore, test, and evaluate apps, software, mobile devices, and other technologies for accessibility, usability, and potential benefit to people with disabilities for publication on BridgingApps' websites
  • Represent Easter Seals Greater Houston on the United Way FinTech Committee and lead FinTech app review efforts.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify client needs, coordinate services, track progress, and develop resources that strengthen digital literacy and technology access.
  • Assist Team Manager with grant-funded projects, program evaluation, data collection, success stories, and reporting as requested.
  • Assist Team Manager and Director with managing and scheduling training events, including collaborative partners and conferences.

Required Qualifications:
