Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) - Part-Time
Peninsula Post Acute
Pay Range: $40.00 - $46.00 per hour
Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide quality nursing care, oversee daily resident care activities, and support nursing staff. This role ensures compliance with facility policies and promotes a safe, compassionate environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Monitor resident health and report changes to physicians and supervisors.
- Complete accurate charting and clinical documentation.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Supervise and support CNAs and nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
- Transcribe physician orders and maintain resident medical records.
- Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns professionally.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and team meetings.
- Maintain adequate nursing supplies and medication inventory.
Qualifications
- Current, active California LVN/LPN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred.
- PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in a healthcare environment and respond to emergencies.
