FINANCE MANAGER – RE/INSURANCE – BERMUDA – 10% TAX – HR335

About this opportunity

Our client, a Bermuda-based insurer specializing in property, casualty and specialty reinsurance, is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Finance Manager.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing accounting, reporting and systems processes for the Company. General duties include serving as finance partner to one of the organization’s business units, preparing management accounts, assisting with budgeting, preparing annual US GAAP financial statements, and ensuring compliance with Bermuda law and regulations.

What you’ll need

• CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent designation, with at least five years of relevant experience in reinsurance, insurance, audit, or financial and regulatory reporting
• Experience with P&C reinsurance, gained in industry or audit, with exposure to technical accounting, management reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and Bermuda regulatory filings
• Strong, current knowledge of US GAAP and BSCR
• Excellent analytical, review, and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to develop automation processes and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
