Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We’re looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Workshop in Petone, You’ll be servicing Heavy Vehicles, along with repairing mobile and fixed plant, helping us keep our vehicles and machinery maintained and safe and serviceable standard.

In this role, you will be responsible for the service, repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and mobile plant, ensuring work for our customers is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll be part of an experienced, supportive team and enjoy a rewarding, hands-on work environment where your skills and contribution are genuinely valued.
 

Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs, servicing and maintenance on mobile and fixed plant equipment

• Safely and effectively use a wide range of workshop tools and equipment

• Communicate and liaise with customers as required

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with.

• NZQA qualification in your respective trade

• Be able to work on a wide range of vehicles including utes, crew cabs, trucks, rollers, excavators, graders and small plant, carrying out servicing to major repairs

• Minimum Class 2 Drivers Licence preferred

• WTR Endorsement preferred

• Proven Industry experience
