What you’ll do:
- Operate cross functionally to build a robust supplier management function as per the business strategy. Maintain and update the Supplier Management model / framework and integrate this within the wider business
- Create relationships with stakeholders across the business. Collaborate with Group Supply Chain, Group Procurement, Product Management, Finance, Sales and Operations to identify / determine the best suppliers and distributors
- Build strategic and tactical relationships with suppliers, ensuring contractual & financial obligations and SLA's are met resulting in the business getting the most value out of the relationships they have
-Create a governance structure to ensure a standardised approach to supplier management including supplier performance reviews, supplier performance matrices, dashboards / scorecards and effective service transition plans for new suppliers
- Drive supplier management efficiencies & change to drive costs down and grow profitability
- Act as the point of accountability for escalation and arbitration for relationship and performance issues and, in the event of other avenues failing, for both commercial and operational problems
- Identify risks and ways to mitigate, supplier risk management actions, tools and reporting
- Drive initiatives related to contract renewals. In line with notice periods, build a plan to execute the renewal strategy
- Review processes, reports and procedures to find opportunities for continuous improvement
What you’ll bring:
- Previous experience of managing multiple IT suppliers and experience of developing strategy & implementing best practice
- Strong commercial management skills and financial awareness
- A demonstrable understanding of contract lifecycle management
- Excellent attention to detail including a proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Experience of leading teams and working in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases
- Solution orientated with the capability to clearly present and articulate data insights
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship & influencing skills
- Ability to deep dive to understand the products, our business and the competitive landscape
- Commitment to learning and expanding professional and technical knowledge
