Description

Your job is more than a job

Why would you want to be a Clinical Nurse Manager? Because you were born to lead. It comes naturally. In nursing, not everyone takes the same path. As an RN Clinical Manager, patient care is still your top priority because building an excellent care team that delivers extraordinary every day starts with you.

You serve as the champion for your colleagues, team, and patients, taking responsibility and accountability for the delivery of safe, effective, direct, and indirect patient-centered care. You understand the power of positivity, and you instill that mindset into every life you touch.  Nursing is your calling, and you love the challenge and rewards that come from leading others who are called to this mission of service.  So, we can’t help but give you the support and tools that will foster the extraordinary leader in you.

Your experiences, knowledge, skills, empathy, compassion, and personality, all of it adds up to you. And we’re excited to get to know you and find out what you will bring to this nursing leadership role.

Your Everyday

Take the lead: manage the operational and fiscal responsibilities of your department or unit and initiate processes to assure the highest quality of patient care using a participative approach to achieving goals.

Promote the mission, vision and values of the organization.

Maintain standards of team accountability for hospital policies and procedures in the delivery of care.

Promote excellence in patient and customer relations by acting as a liaison and effectively interacting with physicians, staff, patients, and families.

Maintain a close working relationship with other hospital managers and serve on committees to provide efficient and safe patient experience.

Manage and coordinate quality assurance program improvement on the assigned unit.

Promote a safe environment and complete safety reports regarding employee or patient injury and ensure proper follow-up.

Participate in budget planning and manage cost containment practices.

Assimilate evidence-based practices and safety protocols into patient care and always maintain patient confidentiality.

Update policies and procedures as warranted.

Manage staffing: evaluate staff work performance, coordinate new employee orientation, and interview, hire, counsel and terminate employees.

The Must-Haves

Minimum:

Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.

Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

5 years of experience in professional nursing
